Regional brainwave differences associated with trauma.

What the study found

A resting quantitative EEG comparison found increased frontal gamma and posterior delta power in the PTSD group relative to the anxiety-disorder comparison group. These regional findings were investigated as potential physiological correlates of PTSD.

What this tells us

Mapping both frequency and location can reveal differences between groups with overlapping symptoms. These are research associations, not a standalone PTSD test.
