Distinct EEG patterns within ADHD.
What the study found
Researchers identified three EEG-defined clusters among children with ADHD. The groups differed in their balance of slow- and fast-frequency activity, showing that children sharing a diagnosis can have different electrical activity patterns.
What this tells us
Quantitative EEG can reveal physiological differences that a symptom label alone does not describe.
