Measurable brainwave patterns between migraine attacks.

What the study found

A blinded study compared 33 people with migraine with 31 controls between headache attacks. The migraine group showed higher relative theta activity across regions and greater frontocentral delta activity on the symptomatic side.

What this tells us

Quantitative EEG detected group differences even between attacks, offering a window into brain physiology associated with migraine.
