Systemic Immunity: Research on Viral Recovery

A different device and research question
The supplied article discusses the intranasal and chest photobiomodulation device, which delivers light intranasally and over the chest. It is a different device from the Neuro headset shown in the performance graphic. The trial examined recovery from acute COVID-19, rather than general immunity in healthy athletes.
What the trial found
The trial randomized 294 participants, with 199 included in the efficacy analysis. Overall recovery time did not differ significantly between groups. In the subgroup with 0–7 days of symptoms, median recovery was 18 days with PBM versus 21 days with standard care, with a borderline statistical result. The 8–12 day subgroup showed no significant advantage.
Understanding the scope
The findings concern symptom recovery in a particular infection and treatment window. They do not establish that the Neuro headset prevents infections or broadly boosts immune function. The published paper provides the full participant analysis and outcome data.
